The Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of vehicles, lawnmowers, snow equipment etc. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair small engines including but not limited to lawn mowers, generators, chainsaws, and other equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and filter changes.
- Test and troubleshoot equipment to determine problems and necessary repairs.
- Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each piece of equipment.
- Work with customers to explain repairs and maintenance required and provide recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in small engine repair.
- Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of small engines.
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Previous maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
