Which companies sponsor visas for physician assistants in Nevada?
The most active sponsors for physician assistant roles in Nevada include Valley Health System, Renown Health, University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Federally funded health systems and large hospital networks tend to have established immigration processes, making them more likely to support H-1B visa or other work visa petitions for qualified PA candidates than smaller private practices.
Which visa types are most common for physician assistant roles in Nevada?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for physician assistants in Nevada, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a master's degree. Internationally trained PAs may also pursue the EB-3 employment-based green card through employer sponsorship. Some candidates with extraordinary credentials may qualify for the O-1 visa, though this is less common for clinical PA roles.
Which cities in Nevada have the most physician assistant sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the majority of physician assistant job postings in Nevada, driven by its large hospital networks, urgent care chains, and growing population. Reno is the second-largest market, with opportunities through Renown Health and several regional medical groups. Rural areas including Elko and Carson City occasionally post PA openings, often with additional incentives to attract candidates to underserved communities.
How to find physician assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters physician assistant roles in Nevada by visa sponsorship availability. Rather than sorting through general job postings manually, you can use Migrate Mate to identify employers in Nevada who have an established track record of sponsoring work visas for PA candidates, saving time at a stage where your visa timeline may already be tight.
Are there state-specific considerations for physician assistants seeking visa sponsorship in Nevada?
Nevada has a relatively lean physician workforce relative to its population, which increases demand for PAs statewide. The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners licenses PAs, and international candidates must ensure their credentials are evaluated for equivalency before licensure. Employers sponsoring H-1B visas for PAs must also file a Labor Condition Application confirming the offered compensation meets the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the specific Nevada location and role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored physician assistant jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
