Which technology companies sponsor H-1B visas in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems, Segue Technologies, and Oracle have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications in New Hampshire. Defense contractors and government IT services firms are particularly active given the state's proximity to federal agencies and military installations. Mid-size software companies in Manchester and Nashua also appear in DOL disclosure data as recurring H-1B sponsors, particularly for software engineering and systems architecture roles.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most technology H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the largest share of technology H-1B sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Manchester functions as the state's primary commercial hub, with a growing concentration of software and IT firms. Nashua, located near the Massachusetts border, benefits from spillover hiring from the Greater Boston tech corridor. Concord, as the state capital, sees H-1B filings tied to government technology contractors.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B sponsorship are those defined as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field. In New Hampshire's technology sector, this commonly includes software engineers, cybersecurity analysts, systems architects, data engineers, and cloud infrastructure roles. General IT support positions or roles where any degree field is acceptable typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B approval.
How do I find technology H-1B sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for H-1B sponsorship roles and filters listings by visa type, industry, and state. For technology H-1B jobs in New Hampshire, you can browse verified sponsoring employers without sifting through listings from companies that don't sponsor. Migrate Mate draws on employer sponsorship history to surface companies with a track record of filing H-1B petitions in the technology sector.
Are there any state-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in New Hampshire's technology sector?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which can affect how employers structure compensation packages for H-1B workers, though prevailing wage obligations under the Labor Condition Application are set at the federal level by the Department of Labor regardless of state tax rules. The state's defense and government IT sectors add a layer of consideration: some roles require security clearances, and not all H-1B visa holders are eligible for clearances, which can narrow the pool of qualifying positions.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B technology jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
