Which companies sponsor visas for NPs in New Hampshire?
The primary sponsors for Nurse Practitioners in New Hampshire are large health systems: Dartmouth Health (based in Lebanon), Concord Hospital, Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover. These organizations have established HR and immigration infrastructure to support H-1B visa and EB-3 petitions. Smaller rural critical access hospitals occasionally sponsor NPs as well, particularly when filling persistent vacancy gaps in underserved areas.
Which visa types are most common for NP roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Nurse Practitioners in New Hampshire, as the NP role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a graduate-level nursing degree. The EB-3 immigrant visa is also a common pathway for NPs pursuing permanent residence, often with employer-sponsored PERM labor certification. Some NPs from Canada may qualify under the TN visa category, which allows faster entry without lottery exposure.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most NP sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is New Hampshire's largest city and has the highest concentration of NP job postings, driven by Catholic Medical Center and several outpatient specialty practices. Concord, as the state capital, is home to Concord Hospital and a growing network of community health centers. Lebanon, in the Upper Valley region, sees strong demand through Dartmouth Health's academic medical complex. Dover and Nashua also post NP openings regularly.
How to find np visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find NP visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire, with listings filtered specifically for roles where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor work visas. Rather than sorting through unfiltered postings, you can use Migrate Mate to narrow results by state and role type, making it easier to identify health systems and clinics in Manchester, Concord, and the Upper Valley that are actively hiring internationally.
Are there any state-specific considerations for NPs seeking visa sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire is a full practice authority state, meaning licensed NPs can diagnose, treat, and prescribe independently without a required physician collaboration agreement. This makes NP roles here more autonomous and often more attractive to employers filling primary care gaps, which can strengthen sponsorship motivation. NPs should also be aware that New Hampshire has designated Health Professional Shortage Areas, particularly in rural counties, where employer incentives to recruit and sponsor candidates may be higher.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored np jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
