Which companies sponsor visas for program managers in New Hampshire?
Defense and aerospace contractors are among the most consistent sponsors in New Hampshire, with BAE Systems in Nashua being a prominent example. Technology firms, healthcare organizations, and advanced manufacturing companies in the Manchester and Portsmouth areas also have sponsorship track records for program management roles. Employers in these sectors regularly file H-1B visa petitions for project and program management positions requiring specialized technical or engineering credentials.
Which visa types are most common for program manager roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program managers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when tied to a technical field like engineering, information systems, or operations management and requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Multinational professionals may qualify for an L-1A if transferring from an affiliated overseas office in a managerial capacity. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most program manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashua and Manchester account for the largest share of program manager sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua's defense and technology corridor, anchored by companies like BAE Systems, generates consistent demand. Manchester, as the state's largest city, hosts a broader mix of technology, healthcare, and financial services employers. Portsmouth has a smaller but active presence in defense contracting and engineering, which occasionally produces program manager sponsorship opportunities.
How to find program manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters program manager jobs in New Hampshire specifically by visa sponsorship, saving you from manually screening hundreds of postings. Because program manager roles in this state are concentrated in defense, manufacturing, and technology, filtering by those industries on Migrate Mate helps narrow your search meaningfully. The platform surfaces employers actively sponsoring international candidates, which is particularly useful given that not all New Hampshire employers openly advertise sponsorship availability.
Are there state-specific considerations for program managers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax on earned wages, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from neighboring states. Program managers in defense-adjacent roles should be aware that some positions require security clearances, which can complicate or delay sponsorship timelines for foreign nationals. The University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University contribute a pipeline of candidates, but most sponsored program managers come with prior industry experience rather than directly from campus recruitment.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program manager jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
