Which companies sponsor visas for business development executives in New York?
Large enterprise technology firms, financial institutions, and consulting companies in New York are among the most consistent sponsors for business development executives. Companies such as IBM, Salesforce, Cognizant, and Deloitte have established H-1B visa sponsorship patterns for senior revenue and partnership roles. Global media and advertising holding companies headquartered in Manhattan also sponsor regularly for business development positions tied to international client portfolios.
Which visa types are most common for business development executive roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development executives in New York, provided the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or finance. The L-1A is another option for executives transferring from an overseas office of the same company. The O-1A applies for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in business development or deal-making.
How to find business development executive visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is the most targeted way to find business development executive roles in New York where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters specifically for sponsoring employers, so you avoid applying to companies that don't support work visas. Filtering by New York and the business development executive category surfaces active listings from enterprise technology, financial services, and consulting firms concentrated in Manhattan and surrounding areas.
Which cities in New York have the most business development executive sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the largest concentration of business development executive sponsorship roles in New York, particularly in Midtown and the Financial District where enterprise technology, financial services, and consulting firms are clustered. White Plains and Melville on Long Island host corporate headquarters that also sponsor for senior business development positions. Brooklyn's growing technology sector has added additional sponsorship opportunities in recent years.
What should international candidates know about qualifying for H-1B sponsorship as a business development executive in New York?
H-1B eligibility for business development executive roles depends on whether the position is classified as a specialty occupation, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the job. Generic sales roles may not always meet this threshold, but senior executive positions requiring finance, business administration, or technology degrees typically qualify. Employers in New York must also file a Labor Condition Application confirming the offered wage meets the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the role and location.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development executive jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
