INTRODUCTION
Plans, organizes, directs and staffs daily operations for pickup and delivery (P&D) to provide outstanding service to customers, meeting service and productivity goals.
Essential Functions
- Promotes safety above all by supporting and implementing safety best practices, requirements, and initiatives and embracing new safety technology.
- Coaches drivers to work more effectively through honest and direct conversations. Ensures compliance with FedEx policies and procedures, CSM, safety and injury reporting, and training requirements.
- Addresses and resolves complex service issues with customers.
- Adjusts routes and employee schedules to meet delivery commitments. Develops contingency plans for unexpected situations.
- Leads team in adapting to changing business requirements and new technology. Achieves Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for their organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
High School diploma/GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- One year experience in FedEx supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR
- Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
- Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
- Bachelor's degree OR
- Twelve months general FedEx operations experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of FedEx field operations, features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal, time management, organizational and communications skills. Basic PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Job Conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay: 5,960.29 - 9,834.48 USD Monthly

In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
