Responsibilities
- Must be able to make decisions and use judgment regarding selection of equipment and best technique in process of productions of radiographs
- Must be able to evaluate patient's condition in order to assist in emergency treatment
- Assessment and patient care responsibilities are delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served
- Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for good high-quality images
- Assists physician during fluoroscopy procedures and practices sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination when necessary
- Performs various types of radiographs from all areas within the hospital, i.e., OR, ER, portables, EP Lab, outpatient/inpatient
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology
- ARRT registration and NYS DOH Radiology license required
- BLS required - American Heart Association
Salary Range
USD $41.69 - USD $54.60 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
