Search Marketing & Advertising Jobs in New YorkMarketing & Advertising CPT Sponsorship Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
Which marketing and advertising companies sponsor F-1 CPT visas in New York?
Large agency holding companies headquartered in New York, including WPP, Publicis Groupe, Interpublic Group, and Omnicom, have established internship programs that frequently accommodate F-1 CPT students. In-house marketing teams at consumer brands, media companies, and fintech firms in the city also hire CPT students, particularly for digital marketing, analytics, and content roles during spring and summer terms.
Which cities in New York have the most marketing and advertising F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of marketing and advertising CPT opportunities in New York, given its concentration of agency headquarters, media companies, and brand teams. Brooklyn has a growing cluster of digital marketing agencies and creative studios. Students at NYU, Columbia, Fordham, and other New York City universities are geographically well-positioned to access this market without relocation.
What types of marketing and advertising roles typically qualify for F-1 CPT sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for CPT must be directly related to your degree program and authorized by your Designated School Official. In marketing and advertising, this typically includes internships in digital marketing, media planning, brand management, marketing analytics, social media strategy, content marketing, and account management. The position must be integral to your curriculum, so coordination with your academic advisor and DSO is required before starting work.
How do I find marketing & advertising F-1 CPT sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate lists marketing and advertising roles in New York that are open to F-1 CPT students, letting you filter specifically by visa type and industry so you're not sorting through listings that don't apply to your authorization. Because CPT timelines are tied to academic terms, it helps to use a focused platform like Migrate Mate rather than broad job boards where sponsorship information is rarely confirmed upfront.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for F-1 CPT in marketing and advertising?
New York's marketing and advertising industry moves quickly, and many agency internship cycles follow specific intake windows, typically January, June, and September. CPT authorization must be in place before your start date, which means your DSO paperwork and I-20 update need to be processed in advance. Some larger agencies have dedicated university recruiting teams familiar with CPT documentation requirements, which can simplify the onboarding process compared to smaller firms.
