Provide event planning and execution of team events and workshops.

Which social media companies sponsor Green Cards in New York?
Several large employers with significant New York operations have filed Green Card petitions for social media roles, including Meta, TikTok, Snap, and major holding companies such as WPP and Publicis Groupe. Digital-first media companies like BuzzFeed and Vox Media, both headquartered in New York, have also sponsored permanent residency for qualifying employees. Sponsorship decisions depend on the individual role, business need, and employer policy.
Which cities in New York have the most social media Green Card sponsorship jobs?
New York City accounts for the overwhelming majority of social media Green Card sponsorship activity in the state, particularly in Manhattan neighborhoods like Midtown and Hudson Square where agencies and tech companies cluster. Brooklyn has a growing presence of digital media startups. Outside the city, Buffalo and Albany have limited social media hiring and very few documented sponsorship patterns compared to the metro area.
What types of social media roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher are most likely to qualify under the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories. In social media, these commonly include social media managers, paid social strategists, content marketing managers, social analytics leads, and platform partnerships roles. Generalist coordinator positions with no defined degree requirement are less likely to be sponsored, as the specialty occupation standard is harder to establish.
How do I find social media Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, including Green Card-sponsored social media roles in New York. You can filter by visa type and industry to surface employers who have actively sponsored workers. Because many companies do not advertise sponsorship in job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that cross-references employer sponsorship history with active listings gives you a more targeted starting point than general job searching.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in social media?
New York's competitive labor market means employers filing a PERM labor certification must conduct a genuine, documented recruitment effort to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available. The high concentration of experienced social media professionals in New York City can make PERM recruitment more involved than in smaller markets. Additionally, New York's high cost of living means prevailing wage determinations for social media roles tend to be set at higher levels than national averages, which employers must meet or exceed.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card social media jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
