Which consulting companies sponsor Green Card visas in New York?
The largest sponsors of Green Card visas for consulting professionals in New York include the Big Four firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG), as well as McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton. These firms have established immigration programs and routinely file PERM labor certifications and EB-2 or EB-3 petitions for eligible employees in their New York offices.
Which cities in New York have the most consulting Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan concentrates the overwhelming majority of consulting Green Card sponsorship activity in New York, particularly in Midtown and Lower Manhattan where major strategy, financial advisory, and management consulting firms maintain large offices. White Plains and Albany see more limited activity, primarily from regional advisory and public-sector consulting practices. If you're targeting Green Card sponsorship in consulting, New York City is by far the most active hiring market in the state.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New York?
Roles that most commonly receive Green Card sponsorship in New York consulting include management consultants, strategy analysts, technology consultants, financial advisory specialists, and risk and compliance consultants. These positions typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and are most often sponsored through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based preference categories via the PERM labor certification process. Senior and specialized roles with scarce skill sets are more frequently sponsored than generalist positions.
How do I find consulting Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international professionals seeking employer-sponsored immigration, including Green Card sponsorship in consulting. You can filter directly by visa type, industry, and state to surface New York consulting roles where employers have a documented history of sponsorship. This saves significant time compared to manually researching which firms sponsor, and keeps you focused on opportunities where sponsorship is a realistic part of the hiring conversation.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in consulting?
New York's high concentration of financial services clients means many consulting roles involve work at regulated institutions, which can extend project timelines and occasionally complicate prevailing wage determinations during the PERM process. New York City's competitive talent market also means that demonstrating a genuine labor shortage (a PERM requirement) can be more demanding than in smaller markets. Consulting professionals already working in New York on H-1B status are often best positioned to pursue employer-sponsored Green Cards, as the process typically unfolds over multiple years within an existing employment relationship.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card consulting jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
