Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor Green Card visas in New York?
Several large employers with significant New York AI operations have established Green Card sponsorship programs, including Google, Meta, Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Bloomberg, and JPMorgan Chase. Major AI-focused firms like Two Sigma and D.E. Shaw also sponsor Green Cards for qualifying research and engineering roles. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer, role level, and internal HR policy, so confirming directly with each employer is advisable.
Which cities in New York have the most artificial intelligence Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the largest share of AI Green Card sponsorship roles in New York, driven by the concentration of finance, media, and enterprise tech firms. Long Island City and Brooklyn have grown as secondary hubs, particularly following Amazon's expansion in the region. Buffalo and Albany have smaller but active AI clusters tied to academic research institutions and state-funded technology initiatives.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify include machine learning engineers, data scientists, AI researchers, natural language processing engineers, computer vision specialists, and AI infrastructure engineers. These positions generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, which supports the specialty occupation requirement relevant to employment-based Green Card categories like EB-2 and EB-3.
How do I find artificial intelligence Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters artificial intelligence Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York by visa type and industry, saving significant research time. Rather than sorting through general job listings where sponsorship status is often unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor, making it a practical starting point for your New York AI job search.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for artificial intelligence Green Card sponsorship?
New York's finance and media sectors often sponsor AI professionals under the EB-2 category, and some highly credentialed researchers may pursue EB-1A or EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions independently without requiring employer-initiated PERM labor certification. New York City's competitive hiring environment means roles frequently require demonstrated experience with production AI systems, which can strengthen a sponsorship petition's supporting documentation.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card artificial intelligence jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
