INTRODUCTION
Jigsaw is at the forefront of AI innovation that enables human agency. We don’t build traditional Google products, we build blueprints for the future. Our team of researchers, designers, and engineers collaborate closely with each other, and external partners, to realize AI concepts that give individuals greater influence over their lives. Once we’ve proven real-world impact through rapid co-design and iterative development, we scale by empowering third parties to replicate and adopt our innovations via open-source contributions and strategic partnerships.
Our current work spans governance, health, and economic insecurity. We are scaling our AI efforts to advance civic voice. Alongside this, we are rapidly building out our new “aging with agency” portfolio and a second effort to explore “prosperity hacking,” the tech enabled pursuit of rapid wealth accumulation. Your role is to advance these latter initiatives, developing strong, impactful partnerships to bring them to life.
As the Partnerships Development Manager you will bridge Jigsaw’s unique initiatives with Google’s broader teams and products. You will navigate internal Google processes and teams, while managing complex and strategically important partnerships for Jigsaw. In this role, you will manage and/or deepen relationships with partners, execute agreements, and track impact, enabling Jigsaw to be successful. You will serve as a bridge between technologists, non-profit advocates, and policymakers to ensure Jigsaw’s technology serves the public good.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or external affairs.
- Experience working directly for or in close partnership with policy related organizations, particularly 501(c) non-profits or membership organizations (e.g., AARP, AAA, labor union).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to speak fluently about emerging tech and evaluate its social implications.
- Ability to dissect complex social phenomena, grasp complex technological innovations, and turn those insights into a productive partnership strategy.
- Comfortable navigating an ambiguous and fast-moving operating environment where the roadmap isn't yet written.
- Passion for leveraging technology to benefit society and empower its members.
- Proven track record of managing high-stakes relationships.

Which companies sponsor visas for partnership development managers in New York?
Large tech and enterprise software companies are the most consistent sponsors of partnership development manager roles in New York. Companies like Salesforce, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and Adobe have sponsored these positions in the state. Financial services firms and media conglomerates headquartered in Manhattan also hire for partnership roles and have established visa sponsorship programs, particularly for H-1B petitions.
Which visa types are most common for partnership development manager roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for partnership development managers in New York, provided the role is framed as a specialty occupation requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. Candidates already in the U.S. on L-1B or O-1 status may also qualify depending on their background. TN visas apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible business categories.
Which cities in New York have the most partnership development manager sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of partnership development manager sponsorship opportunities in New York, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, SaaS companies, and media firms. Brooklyn's tech corridor around DUMBO and downtown also has growing demand. Long Island City has attracted tech employers following infrastructure investment, and Rochester hosts a smaller but active cluster tied to enterprise technology and healthcare partnerships.
How to find partnership development manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find partnership development manager jobs in New York that include visa sponsorship. The platform filters listings specifically for roles where employers are open to sponsoring, which saves significant time compared to manually screening general postings. You can filter by role and state to surface New York-specific opportunities with sponsorship signals, then review employer H-1B filing history before applying.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for partnership development managers seeking visa sponsorship?
New York's Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements apply to any employer filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application for a partnership development manager role in the state, and wages are benchmarked to the New York metropolitan area, which reflects the city's higher cost of living. New York's dense university pipeline, particularly from Columbia, NYU, and Cornell Tech, means employers are accustomed to sponsoring recent graduates in business and strategy roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored partnership development manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
