About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

What You’ll Need
- Proven SDR/BDR, closing, or equivalent quota-carrying experience, with measurable evidence of attainment or overachievement.

- Strong written and verbal communication: concise, customer-focused, and specific.
- Strong discovery and objection-handling fundamentals.

Which companies sponsor visas for sales development managers in New York?
Enterprise technology companies with significant New York presences, including Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, and HubSpot, have established track records of sponsoring international sales talent. Financial services firms and SaaS startups in Manhattan's Flatiron and Midtown districts also hire sales development managers and have sponsored H-1B visa petitions in prior fiscal years. Sponsorship willingness varies by employer size and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for sales development manager roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for sales development managers in New York, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or communications. Candidates from Canada and Mexico may qualify for TN visa status under the management consultant category. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa. Each pathway depends on the specific duties the employer documents in the petition.
Which cities in New York have the most sales development manager sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the majority of sales development manager sponsorship activity in New York, particularly in Midtown and Lower Manhattan where large tech, finance, and media companies are headquartered. Brooklyn has grown as a secondary hub, driven by SaaS startups and mid-market companies. Buffalo and Albany see occasional sponsorship from regional enterprise firms and healthcare technology employers, though volume is substantially lower than New York City.
How to find sales development manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles offering visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to browse sales development manager openings in New York without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness, saving significant time during a job search where immigration eligibility is a primary constraint.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales development managers seeking sponsorship in New York?
New York employers filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B petitions must post public notices at the intended work location, which is a standard federal requirement but carries added complexity in multi-site arrangements common in New York City offices. New York's strong university pipeline, particularly from schools like NYU, Columbia, and Cornell Tech, means employers are accustomed to sponsoring early-career international candidates, which can work in your favor when targeting SDM roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales development manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
