Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for business development analysts?
Several large Ohio-based employers have a track record of sponsoring H-1B visa and other work visas for business development analyst roles. JPMorgan Chase and KeyBank in Cleveland, Nationwide and Root Insurance in Columbus, and Procter and Gamble in Cincinnati have all filed Labor Condition Applications for analyst-level positions. Consulting firms with Ohio offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, also sponsor regularly for business development and strategy roles.
Which visa types are most common for business development analyst roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business development analysts in Ohio, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field. Candidates already holding an F-1 with OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work while their employer files an H-1B petition. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation category.
Which cities in Ohio have the most business development analyst sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads Ohio for business development analyst sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of insurance, fintech, and retail headquarters. Cleveland is a secondary hub, particularly in financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing-adjacent business development roles. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, anchored by consumer goods and professional services firms. Smaller markets like Dayton and Akron have opportunities but significantly lower sponsorship volume compared to these three metros.
How to find business development analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for business development analyst roles in Ohio without sorting through positions that won't consider international candidates. You can narrow results by city, industry, and visa type. Because Ohio's sponsoring employers span financial services, insurance, and consumer goods, using a focused search on Migrate Mate helps identify which companies are actively hiring and open to sponsorship in this role.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for business development analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are determined by Department of Labor data tied to the specific metro area, so wages in Columbus differ from those in Cleveland or Cincinnati. Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University generate a strong pipeline of international graduates pursuing business development roles, meaning competition for sponsored positions can be meaningful in those cities. Employers headquartered in Ohio rather than satellite offices generally have more established immigration support processes and legal resources for sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development analyst jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
