Which companies in Ohio sponsor visas for data managers?
Healthcare organizations are among the most active sponsors for data managers in Ohio. Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, and Nationwide Children's Hospital have histories of H-1B filings for data-related roles. Large employers in financial services and insurance, including Nationwide and Progressive, also sponsor regularly. Manufacturing and logistics companies headquartered in the state, such as Procter and Gamble's Ohio operations, round out the sponsoring employer pool.
What visa types are most common for data manager roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data manager positions in Ohio. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation when it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates already holding an L-1B intracompany transferee visa or an O-1 visa may also fill data manager roles, depending on their employer and qualifications.
Which Ohio cities have the most data manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Columbus accounts for the largest share of data manager sponsorship activity in Ohio, driven by its concentration of insurance, finance, and technology employers. Cleveland follows closely, anchored by its large healthcare systems and hospital networks. Cincinnati and Dayton also have active markets, with Cincinnati's corporate headquarters base and Dayton's defense and aerospace sector both generating consistent demand for data management professionals.
How to find data manager visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters data manager roles in Ohio by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening hundreds of listings. You can browse active openings from employers who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas. Filtering by Ohio and the data manager role category gives you a focused list relevant to your situation without any guesswork about which employers are open to sponsorship.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data manager sponsorship hiring in Ohio?
Ohio's strong university system, including Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University, creates a consistent pipeline of data professionals that employers are accustomed to hiring and sponsoring. Prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program apply statewide and vary by metro area, so Columbus and Cleveland typically have different wage benchmarks than smaller markets. Healthcare, which dominates sponsorship in Ohio, tends to have structured HR processes that are familiar with the LCA and H-1B filing requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data manager jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
