Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Java Developer to join our dynamic software development team to work on our W2. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining innovative web applications and services using Java and related technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with experienced developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing scalable and efficient Java-based applications, including microservices and APIs, following best practices within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design UI components using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable code utilizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and modern development tools like Eclipse or Visual Studio.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to identify issues early and ensure robust application performance.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews, to foster continuous improvement.
- Support database design and management using SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server; optimize queries for performance.
- Contribute to the integration of web services such as RESTful APIs or SOAP for seamless data exchange across platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Java programming language and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Java EE.
- Experience with front-end development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular or Bootstrap for responsive UI design.
- Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub or SVN for source code management.
- Understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and SDLC best practices.
- Basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across technical teams.
