Which investment management companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Ohio?
Ohio-based asset managers and financial institutions with documented H-1B1 visa sponsorship history include KeyCorp, Fifth Third Bancorp, Nationwide Financial, and Huntington Bancshares. Larger registered investment advisers and institutional fund managers operating out of Columbus and Cleveland have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles in portfolio management and investment analysis. Reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data through the OFLC Wage Search tool shows filing history by employer and occupation.
Which cities in Ohio have the most investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's primary hub for investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship, anchored by insurance-linked asset managers and large bank holding companies. Cleveland follows closely, with a concentration of institutional wealth management and trust services firms. Cincinnati hosts regional fund managers and financial planning practices with active specialty occupation hiring. Smaller markets like Dayton and Toledo have limited but occasional sponsoring employers in the sector.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify as specialty occupations under the H-1B1 visa include portfolio analyst, quantitative analyst, equity research associate, risk analyst, and fund accountant. Each position generally requires at least a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a closely related field. Roles with broad duties that do not require a specific degree field carry greater scrutiny during the Labor Condition Application and employer attestation process.
How do I find investment management H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate surfaces Ohio investment management employers with verified H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history, so you can identify which firms have actively sponsored the visa type for roles matching your background. Filtering by state and occupation code on Migrate Mate lets you focus on Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati employers in asset management and fund administration rather than sorting through general finance postings with no sponsorship signal.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio has no state-level visa licensing requirement that affects H-1B1 visa eligibility, but investment management professionals holding Series 65 or Series 7 registrations may find employer onboarding more straightforward. The H-1B1 does not require an I-129 application approval before the employee begins work abroad, but the employer must file a certified LCA with DOL before the consular appointment. Ohio employers in the investment advisory sector should also confirm their firm's investment adviser registration status, as regulatory standing can affect hiring timelines.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile investment management jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
