Which companies sponsor visas for strategy business operations roles in Ohio?
Several large Ohio-headquartered employers have documented H-1B sponsorship histories for strategy and business operations roles. These include Nationwide Insurance and Huntington Bancshares in Columbus, Progressive Corporation in Mayfield Village, KeyCorp in Cleveland, and Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. Major consulting firms and hospital systems operating across Ohio also file sponsorship petitions for these functions regularly.
Which visa types are most common for strategy business operations roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategy and business operations positions in Ohio, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, finance, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT extension may also transition into sponsored status. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business analyst categories.
Which cities in Ohio have the most strategy business operations sponsorship jobs?
Columbus is Ohio's primary hub for strategy and business operations sponsorship, driven by its concentration of insurance, financial services, and technology employers. Cleveland follows, with strength in healthcare systems, banking, and professional services. Cincinnati rounds out the top three, particularly for consumer goods and manufacturing strategy roles. Smaller markets like Dayton and Akron have more limited but still active sponsorship activity tied to specific industry clusters.
How to find strategy business operations visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse strategy and business operations roles in Ohio without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by location and role type to surface opportunities at Ohio employers actively hiring international candidates. This is particularly useful for narrowing down roles in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati where sponsorship activity is highest.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy business operations sponsorship in Ohio?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements follow the Department of Labor's standard wage levels, which employers must meet when filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application. Strategy and business operations roles are typically classified under management analyst or operations research analyst occupational codes, each carrying its own prevailing wage threshold that varies by metro area within Ohio. Columbus generally carries higher prevailing wages than smaller Ohio markets, which can influence where employers concentrate their sponsorship filings.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy business operations jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
