About the Role
You will play an integral role in building our business strategy on our Logistics Operations team under the Dasher & Logistics pillar. Your primary goal will focus on opportunities to improve dasher pay and efficiency by getting into the weeds and really understanding what's happening on the ground, developing and testing hypotheses, and scaling that impact through working with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, and Analytics. You will report directly into a Manager on the Dasher & Logistics team.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build analysis to create data-driven decisions to improve the experience for our Users.
- Operate at the lowest level of detail to become an expert of this problem space.
- Learn how to develop strategies and act on them.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive impact for DoorDash.
We're excited about you because…
- You have 4-6 years of experience in consulting, strategy, financial services, operations, technology, startups or related experience.
- You are able to analyze and synthesize data, make informed decisions and balance quantitative measurement with an empathetic, intuition-based mindset. You can crunch data in SQL/Excel independently.
- You love thinking about problems from a first principles approach, and you aren't afraid to take action and try new things in order to create the future.
- You are able to communicate complex topics in a clear, concise, and thorough way to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- You focus on getting stuff done and aren't afraid to get into the details. No job is beneath you and you lead from the front and with optimism.
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and the dynamic nature of operations which may require working weekends and holidays.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred but not required.
We expect this position to be filled by 6/14/2026.

Which companies sponsor visas for strategy business operations roles in Washington DC?
Large management consulting firms including Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, McKinsey, and Accenture are among the most active sponsors for strategy and business operations roles in DC. Government contractors and technology companies with federal divisions, such as Leidos and SAIC, also file H-1B petitions for operations and strategy professionals. Nonprofits and international organizations headquartered in DC sponsor less frequently but do participate.
Which visa types are most common for strategy business operations roles in Washington DC?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategy and business operations professionals in Washington DC, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, management, economics, or a related field, meeting specialty occupation criteria. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those with extraordinary achievement in their field may explore the O-1A. TN status covers certain business and management roles for Canadian and Mexican nationals under the USMCA.
How to find strategy business operations visa sponsorship jobs in Washington DC?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, making it easier to identify strategy and business operations roles in Washington DC without manually screening hundreds of postings. You can search by role type and location to surface openings at consulting firms, government contractors, and mission-driven organizations across the DC metro area. This saves significant time compared to applying broadly and discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process.
Which areas in Washington DC have the most strategy business operations sponsorship jobs?
Most strategy and business operations sponsorship roles concentrate in downtown DC, particularly around K Street and the Penn Quarter area where major consulting firms and trade associations are headquartered. The broader metro area, including Bethesda and McLean in Maryland and Virginia respectively, also hosts significant employer density due to federal contractor campuses. Rosslyn and Tysons Corner in Northern Virginia are particularly active for tech-adjacent strategy roles.
Are there any DC-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for strategy business operations professionals?
Washington DC's heavy reliance on government contracting creates some unique considerations. Certain federal contractor roles require security clearances, and non-US citizens face restrictions obtaining clearances, which can limit sponsorship opportunities in that segment. However, the commercial consulting and nonprofit sectors operate without those restrictions and actively sponsor international talent. The DC metro area's high concentration of large employers also means prevailing wage determinations tend to reflect a competitive market, which can influence how employers structure sponsored positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy business operations jobs in Washington DC?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
