Search Strategy Business Operations Jobs in WisconsinStrategy Business Operations Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for strategy business operations roles in Wisconsin?
Several large Wisconsin employers have established sponsorship track records for strategy and business operations positions. Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee regularly sponsor for corporate strategy and operations roles, while Epic Systems and American Family Insurance in Madison hire for similar functions. Exact Sciences and Baird also appear in federal LCA disclosure data with sponsored positions in this category.
Which visa types are most common for strategy business operations roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for strategy and business operations roles in Wisconsin, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. L-1 visas are also used for intracompany transfers into strategy roles at multinationals like Fiserv. O-1 visas are less common but possible for candidates with documented exceptional performance records.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most strategy business operations sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the largest share of strategy and business operations sponsorship activity in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 financial services and insurance firms. Madison is the second-strongest market, anchored by Epic Systems, the University of Wisconsin system, and a growing health tech sector. Green Bay has a smaller but active market through employers like Schneider National and Humana's Wisconsin operations.
How to find strategy business operations visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse strategy and business operations openings in Wisconsin without sifting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by city, employer type, and role function. For Wisconsin, prioritizing Milwaukee and Madison in your search will surface the highest volume of relevant sponsored positions in financial services, health tech, and enterprise software.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy business operations visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not have state-level visa programs, so sponsorship depends entirely on individual employers filing H-1B or other federal petitions. The state's employer base skews toward established, mid-to-large companies rather than venture-backed startups, which generally means more structured HR processes and more predictable sponsorship timelines. University of Wisconsin-Madison and Marquette University also serve as pipelines for international talent into local business operations roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy business operations jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
