We’re searching for a strategic, detail-oriented Assortment Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering consumer-right assortments for Nike Energy across the globe. The ideal candidate combines strong retail planning expertise with advanced Excel skills and operational excellence. You can build hypotheses and data-driven analysis, translating insights into action through problem-solving and critical thinking skills. You have a deep understanding of consumer, marketplace, product, and inventory planning, with actions grounded in qualitative research, data, and insights to support your view. You are a great collaborator who proactively builds positive relationships across the organization with both upstream and downstream functions. This role requires the ability to influence stakeholders and manage seasonal planning processes end-to-end.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years in business planning, assortment planning, merchandise planning or equivalent experience
- Retail Planning Expertise: Strong understanding of assortment planning, inventory management, and retail financial metrics
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling); experience with planning systems (SAP, o9, Workbench) preferred
- Operational Mindset: Ability to manage complex seasonal calendars, code gates, and planning deliverables with precision
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
The Lead Planner for Global Energy will drive the creation and execution of seasonal Energy assortments that balance consumer demand, financial targets, and marketplace strategies. You will build and manage seasonal assortment plans, developing bottom-up forecasts, and optimize inventory to maximize brand revenue across territories. You will own critical planning tools and processes—including Workbench, Airtable, SAP, and QS Allocations—ensuring timely, accurate submissions for seasonal gates and code gate milestones. Leveraging advanced analytics and Excel, you will monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. Success depends on strong cross-functional collaboration with Merchandising, Marketplace, and Global/Territory teams to align on and continuously adjust plans to drive assortment strategies and seasonal priorities.
