Which companies in Tennessee sponsor visas for strategy and business operations roles?
Tennessee's largest visa sponsors for strategy and business operations include HCA Healthcare and Ascension in Nashville's healthcare sector, FedEx and International Paper in Memphis, and Nissan North America in Smyrna. Technology companies with Tennessee operations, including Oracle and Deloitte's regional offices, also regularly sponsor H-1B workers in business strategy and operations functions.
Which visa types are most common for strategy and business operations roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategy and business operations professionals in Tennessee, as these roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field. Multinational professionals transferring within large employers like FedEx or Nissan may also qualify for the L-1A or L-1B visa depending on whether the role is managerial or involves specialized knowledge.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most strategy and business operations visa sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads Tennessee in strategy and business operations sponsorship activity, driven by its large healthcare, finance, and corporate headquarters presence. Memphis is a strong secondary market, particularly for logistics, supply chain strategy, and operations roles tied to FedEx and related industries. Knoxville and Chattanooga offer smaller but growing pools of sponsorship opportunities, especially within manufacturing operations and energy sector firms.
How to find strategy business operations visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, filtering strategy and business operations roles in Tennessee by verified visa sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general job listings with no sponsorship information, Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have filed H-1B applications for business strategy and operations functions in Tennessee, making it easier to identify realistic opportunities in Nashville, Memphis, and beyond.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy and business operations sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage calculations and compensation benchmarking employers use when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B roles. Nashville's growing corporate headquarters presence, including relocations from higher-cost states, has expanded the pool of employers with established immigration sponsorship programs in business operations and strategy functions. Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee also supply a pipeline of international graduate talent into these roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy business operations jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
