Which companies in Oklahoma sponsor visas for business development managers?
Energy companies are the most active sponsors in Oklahoma, including ONEOK, Devon Energy, and Williams Companies, all headquartered in Tulsa or Oklahoma City. Healthcare systems like Integris Health and INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center also hire for business development roles. Aerospace and defense contractors operating around Tulsa International Airport and Tinker Air Force Base have also filed H-1B petitions for business-facing positions.
Which visa types are most common for business development manager roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa category for business development managers in Oklahoma. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when it requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field. Canadian and Mexican nationals may pursue the TN visa under the USMCA, and Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3, both of which are simpler to process than the H-1B.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most business development manager sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City and Tulsa account for the large majority of business development manager sponsorship activity in the state. Oklahoma City benefits from a diversified employer base across healthcare, government contracting, and financial services. Tulsa is the center of Oklahoma's energy sector and has a higher concentration of corporate headquarters that file H-1B petitions, making it the stronger market for international candidates in business development.
How to find business development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and filters business development manager roles in Oklahoma by employer sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through thousands of unverified listings, Migrate Mate surfaces positions from companies that have actually sponsored work visas. This saves significant time for candidates on H-1B, TN, or E-3 pathways who need confirmed sponsorship employers, not just open requisitions.
Are there any state-specific factors that affect business development manager sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's economy is heavily weighted toward energy, aerospace, and healthcare, so business development managers with experience in these industries tend to see stronger employer interest and more sponsorship willingness. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University produce business graduates who stay in state, which shapes the local talent pool employers compare international candidates against. DOL prevailing wage determinations for business development managers in Oklahoma reflect regional cost-of-living levels, which influences the wage floor employers must meet when filing H-1B petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development manager jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
