Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for business development managers?
Milwaukee-based manufacturers like Rockwell Automation and Johnson Controls have sponsored work visas for business development roles, as have healthcare organizations such as Froedtert Health and UW Health. Madison's technology companies and financial services firms also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for business development positions. Sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in industries where Wisconsin has established corporate headquarters.
Which visa types are most common for business development manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business development managers in Wisconsin, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. The L-1B and L-1A are options for candidates transferring within a multinational company. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles. Eligibility depends on how the employer defines the position's requirements.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most business development manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee generates the highest concentration of business development manager sponsorship opportunities in Wisconsin, driven by its manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare sectors. Madison follows closely, with technology companies and university-affiliated organizations active in hiring. Green Bay has notable activity in packaging, logistics, and supply chain industries. Smaller markets like Waukesha and Appleton occasionally see sponsorship from regional industrial employers.
How to find business development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for business development manager roles in Wisconsin without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Milwaukee, Madison, or other Wisconsin markets. Migrate Mate aggregates sponsorship-confirmed listings, which saves significant time compared to general job searches where sponsorship status is often unclear.
Are there state-specific considerations for business development manager visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the specific occupation and geographic area, which varies between Milwaukee, Madison, and smaller metros. The University of Wisconsin system and affiliated research institutions provide a pipeline of international talent into business development adjacent roles. Wisconsin's manufacturing-heavy economy means many sponsoring employers are mid-size industrial firms rather than the large tech companies more commonly associated with sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
