Which companies sponsor visas for personal assistants in Oklahoma?
Visa sponsorship for personal assistants in Oklahoma is most commonly found at large energy corporations headquartered in Oklahoma City, major healthcare networks such as INTEGRIS Health and Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, and established law firms and financial services companies. Smaller private employers and household-based positions rarely sponsor work visas due to the administrative and financial requirements involved.
Which visa types are most common for personal assistant roles in Oklahoma?
The H-1B is the most frequently used work visa for personal assistant roles in Oklahoma when the position requires a specific bachelor's degree field, though qualifying can be difficult without a clearly defined specialty occupation. The O-1 visa is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary ability. Some candidates already holding work authorization through OPT, a dependent EAD, or another employer-sponsored status also fill these roles.
Which cities in Oklahoma have the most personal assistant sponsorship jobs?
Oklahoma City generates the largest volume of personal assistant sponsorship opportunities in the state, driven by its concentration of energy sector headquarters, state government agencies, and corporate offices. Tulsa follows, with demand anchored in healthcare administration, legal services, and regional financial firms. Smaller markets like Norman and Stillwater have limited sponsorship activity in this role category.
How to find personal assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find personal assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Oklahoma, with listings filtered specifically for employers open to sponsoring international candidates. Because sponsorship for personal assistant roles is selective, focusing your search on large Oklahoma City energy companies, Tulsa healthcare networks, and established professional services firms gives you the strongest starting point on the platform.
Are there any state-specific considerations for personal assistants seeking visa sponsorship in Oklahoma?
Oklahoma's economy is heavily shaped by the energy sector, so personal assistants with industry-relevant experience supporting executives in oil, gas, or engineering environments tend to be stronger sponsorship candidates at companies like Devon Energy or ONEOK. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University occasionally create pipelines for internationally trained candidates, though direct personal assistant sponsorship through academic institutions remains uncommon.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored personal assistant jobs in Oklahoma?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
