Which companies sponsor visas for office coordinators in Oregon?
Oregon's largest visa-sponsoring employers for administrative and coordinator roles include Intel, Nike, and Adidas in the Portland metro, along with Oregon Health and Science University, Providence Health and Services, and Legacy Health. Technology firms concentrated along the Silicon Forest corridor also sponsor office coordinators to support operations teams, though sponsorship decisions vary by employer and individual role requirements.
Which visa types are most common for office coordinator roles in Oregon?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for office coordinator roles in Oregon, though it requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Some international candidates transition from F-1 OPT or STEM OPT if they hold relevant degrees. TN visas apply only to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations. Each case depends on the specific role's duties and degree requirements.
Which cities in Oregon have the most office coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of office coordinator sponsorship opportunities in Oregon, driven by its concentration of technology, healthcare, and consumer goods employers. Beaverton and Hillsboro in the Portland metro are also active hiring areas, particularly around Intel's campuses. Eugene has a smaller but consistent demand tied to the University of Oregon and regional healthcare employers. Bend is an emerging market but sponsorship openings there remain limited.
How to find office coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters office coordinator roles in Oregon by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from sorting through postings from employers who won't sponsor. You can browse current openings, see which employers have sponsored visas historically, and focus your applications on realistic targets. Searching by location and role on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to surface relevant Oregon opportunities.
Are there state-specific considerations for office coordinator sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon employers filing H-1B petitions for office coordinators must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements for the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro or Eugene metropolitan areas, which are set separately from national averages. Oregon's strong healthcare and technology sectors mean administrative roles at hospitals, universities, and tech firms are more likely to have established immigration infrastructure than smaller employers. OHSU and Portland State University also generate candidate pipelines through OPT programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored office coordinator jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
