Which companies sponsor visas for project administrators in Oregon?
Intel is one of Oregon's largest visa sponsors, with significant project administration needs tied to its Hillsboro semiconductor campuses. Nike, Adidas North America, and Oregon Health and Science University also have established sponsorship track records for project coordination roles. Smaller technology firms and engineering consultancies in the Portland metro area sponsor less frequently but do file for qualifying candidates in specialized projects.
Which visa types are most common for project administrator roles in Oregon?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for project administrators in Oregon, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, engineering, or information systems. Some candidates in the tech sector qualify under the O-1 visa for extraordinary ability. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role fits a qualifying USMCA occupation category with appropriate credentials.
Which cities in Oregon have the most project administrator sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of project administrator sponsorship activity in Oregon, driven by its concentration of technology companies, healthcare systems, and corporate headquarters. Hillsboro is a significant secondary market due to Intel's campuses there. Beaverton, home to Nike's global headquarters, also generates project administration hiring. Eugene sees occasional sponsorship activity tied to the University of Oregon and regional healthcare employers.
How to find project administrator visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can browse project administrator roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. Search by role and state to surface active openings at Oregon employers with a history of sponsoring work visas. Filtering by industry, such as technology or healthcare, can help narrow results to sectors where sponsorship for project administrators is more common.
Are there state-specific considerations for project administrators seeking visa sponsorship in Oregon?
Oregon's semiconductor industry, anchored by Intel's Hillsboro operations and expanding with recent federal investment in domestic chip manufacturing, has increased demand for project administrators with technical coordination backgrounds. Employers filing H-1B petitions must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the Portland or Hillsboro metro area, which is location-specific. Candidates with experience in construction, clean energy, or healthcare project management align well with Oregon's active sponsoring industries.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project administrator jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
