Which companies sponsor visas for project management coordinators in Oregon?
Intel, Nike, and Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) are among the more established Oregon employers with histories of H-1B sponsorship for project management roles. Smaller tech firms in the Portland metro, along with state and regional healthcare systems like Providence Health and PeaceHealth, also hire project management coordinators and have sponsored work visas for qualifying international candidates.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in Oregon?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management coordinators in Oregon, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, engineering, or information systems. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional category. Australians holding a relevant degree may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Oregon have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of project management coordinator visa sponsorship opportunities in Oregon, driven by its concentration of technology, healthcare, and manufacturing employers. Hillsboro, home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, is a secondary hub for project coordination roles in the semiconductor sector. Beaverton and Eugene also see periodic openings, particularly within university systems and mid-size tech companies.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship. You can filter directly for project management coordinator roles in Oregon to see employers that have indicated sponsorship availability. Because Migrate Mate focuses exclusively on sponsoring employers, it saves you the time of screening out listings from companies that do not support work visa applications.
Are there any Oregon-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for project management coordinators?
Oregon's semiconductor expansion, driven by Intel's ongoing Hillsboro investments and new entrants under the CHIPS Act, has increased demand for project coordination professionals and, with it, employer willingness to sponsor. OHSU and Portland State University also serve as talent pipelines, meaning some candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT are positioned to transition into sponsored roles. Prevailing wage requirements apply statewide, and employers must meet Department of Labor standards before filing an H-1B petition.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
