Which companies sponsor visas for director, product management roles in Pennsylvania?
Philadelphia-based Comcast is one of Pennsylvania's most active H-1B visa sponsors at the director level, along with SAP's U.S. operations, Independence Blue Cross, and various fintech firms clustered around Center City. In Pittsburgh, PNC Financial Services, Highmark Health, and Carnegie Mellon University's affiliated technology ventures have sponsored senior product management roles. Defense contractors and life sciences companies in the greater Philadelphia corridor also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data for this role.
Which visa types are most common for director, product management roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for director, product management roles in Pennsylvania, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1A intracompany transferee status, particularly those moving from a multinational's non-U.S. office into a Pennsylvania director role, represent another notable pathway. O-1A petitions for individuals with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in product management are filed less frequently but do occur at senior levels.
How to find director, product management visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability and U.S. state, making it straightforward to browse director, product management openings in Pennsylvania without sifting through roles that won't support work authorization. Because sponsorship willingness is verified at the listing level, you can focus your applications on employers in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and other Pennsylvania markets who are actively open to sponsoring international candidates at the director level.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most director, product management sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia accounts for the largest share of director, product management sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of large media, financial services, healthcare, and enterprise software employers. Pittsburgh has a growing presence, particularly in health technology, autonomous systems, and university-affiliated startups connected to Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh. Smaller clusters exist near Malvern and King of Prussia along the Route 202 technology corridor, where several multinational technology firms have Pennsylvania headquarters.
Are there state-specific considerations for director, product management visa sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania employers sponsoring H-1B workers at the director level must file a Labor Condition Application certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the specific role and geographic area, which differs between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh metropolitan designations. Director-level product management roles are generally classified at wage level III or IV under Department of Labor guidelines, reflecting supervisory responsibility and specialized expertise. Pennsylvania's strong university system, including Wharton, Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School, and Penn State, also creates an established OPT-to-sponsorship pipeline that many in-state employers are familiar with navigating.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director, product management jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
