INTRODUCTION
The Director of Omnichannel Product Management owns the product strategy and roadmap for the systems that run Balsam’s retail core: financial systems, warehouse and inventory management, and order management. This is the engine that will power the business’s ability to scale, strategically manage our supply chain, and expand internationally. It is a rare chance to build a foundational platform and shape how a profitable, growing retail company innovates for its next phase. The person in this seat will make their vision for product and technology easy for the rest of the organization to understand and co-invest in. They will build deep, trusted relationships with our senior business partners, bring an AI-first mindset to both what the team ships and how it works, and partner with our technology team to boldly plan our architecture, sequencing, and the bets worth making. They will also coach and grow a team of Product Managers and Product Owners into Builder PMs who prototype and leverage AI in every part of their daily work. This full-time position reports to the Head of Product Management and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in-office.
What You’ll Do
- Own the retail core roadmap. Set and evangelize the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for Balsam’s financial, warehouse, inventory, and order management systems, aligned to company growth objectives and international expansion.
- Be a trusted partner for the business. Build deep, trusted relationships with senior leaders across eCommerce, Inventory Management, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance. Learn their functions, pressures, and goals well enough to surface real opportunities, prioritize them clearly, and solve them together. Make product and technology’s priorities and progress easy for partners to see and collaborate on.
- Bring an AI-first mindset. Equip the team to automate routine work and bring AI into both the solutions we ship and the day-to-day operations of the product team. Make experimentation and rapid prototyping the default.
- Raise our technical ambition and architecture. Partner with the Head of Engineering to shape product architecture and longer-horizon technical strategy together. Bring rigor to how we size, sequence, and resource work so our commitments match the company’s growth goals.
- Drive prioritization and trade-offs. Balance a portfolio of priorities across pods and facilitate the trade-off decisions that optimize for business impact, customer value, and operational risk.
- Lead and grow the team. Leads team with accountability for business outcomes, promoting solution-sharing and inspiring the broader team/function with a vision aligned with organizational values.
- Measure what matters. Define and track the product and operational metrics that prove value, and partner with the team to adopt metrics specific to their areas.
- Communicate with clarity. Evangelize the work and its outcomes to executives and business partners. Create the cadences that keep everyone aligned.
What You Bring To The Table
- 14+ years in product management, including experience leading product managers or operating at a director level.
- Deep, hands-on experience with the back-end and enterprise systems that run retail operations, such as order management (OMS), warehouse and inventory management (WMS/IMS), and financial systems.
- Strong technical fluency. You can engage engineering as a credible thought partner on architecture, sequencing, sizing, and trade-offs, and push the team to think longer term.
- A genuine AI-first mindset. You already use AI in your own work. You are energized by building and automating, and you can bring a team along with you.
- A track record of building trust with senior business stakeholders and translating their needs into prioritized, deliverable product work.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, paired with a clear bias for execution.
- Experience with agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and a proven track record of shipping.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to and partnering with executives.
- Experience in wholesale, Amazon Marketplace, or international business, or hands-on experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Background in e-commerce, retail, or operations is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus.

Which companies sponsor visas for director, product management roles in Idaho?
Micron Technology in Boise is among the most active H-1B sponsors in Idaho for senior technical and product roles. Clearwater Analytics, a Boise-based fintech firm, has also filed petitions for senior product positions. Larger employers with Idaho operations, including HP Inc. and Oracle, occasionally sponsor Director-level product management roles through their regional offices.
Which visa types are most common for director, product management roles in Idaho?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for Director of Product Management roles in Idaho, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specialty field such as computer science, engineering, or business. Candidates already holding L-1A intramanagerial transfer status or O-1A extraordinary ability visas may also be sponsored by Idaho employers, depending on their background and the employer's existing relationships with immigration counsel.
Which cities in Idaho have the most director, product management sponsorship jobs?

The city hosts the state's largest concentration of tech, fintech, and semiconductor employers, including Micron Technology's headquarters and Clearwater Analytics. How to find director, product management visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for Director of Product Management roles in Idaho without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. Because Director-level product roles in Idaho are concentrated among a relatively small set of employers, setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for Idaho-based product leadership openings helps ensure you don't miss postings from Boise's active tech and fintech sector.
Are there any Idaho-specific considerations for director, product management visa sponsorship?
Idaho employers sponsoring H-1B petitions for Director of Product Management roles must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Boise-Nampa metropolitan statistical area, which sets the wage floor for the position and experience level. Idaho does not have a state-level immigration program, so sponsorship depends entirely on the employer's willingness and resources. Boise State University and University of Idaho produce local product and engineering talent, but most Director-level candidates come through experienced professional pipelines rather than university recruiting.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director, product management jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
