Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor E-3 visas in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania employers with documented E-3 and specialty occupation sponsorship history in animal care include large veterinary hospital groups operating in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh metros, the Philadelphia Zoo, and university-affiliated veterinary practices tied to Penn Vet and Penn State. Specialty animal hospitals focused on surgery, oncology, and internal medicine are among the most active sponsors, as these roles typically require a directly related degree and meet the specialty occupation standard.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most animal care & pet services E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia leads Pennsylvania for animal care E-3 opportunities, supported by Penn Vet's referral hospital network, the Philadelphia Zoo, and a dense concentration of specialty and emergency veterinary clinics. Pittsburgh is the second-strongest market, with independent specialty practices and academic veterinary affiliates. State College and Harrisburg also see periodic openings, particularly in veterinary medicine and animal science roles connected to Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences.
What types of animal care & pet services roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify for E-3 sponsorship in this industry require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Pennsylvania, qualifying positions commonly include licensed veterinarians, veterinary specialists, zoo animal curators, animal behaviorists, and veterinary clinical researchers. General pet care attendant or kennel technician roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard because they don't require a specific degree, so Australian applicants should target positions with clear degree requirements listed in the job description.
How do I find animal care & pet services E-3 sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for E-3 visa sponsorship, so you can search animal care and pet services roles in Pennsylvania without manually screening every employer for sponsorship history. The platform surfaces employers with documented Labor Condition Application filing records, which is the clearest indicator that a Pennsylvania employer understands and has completed E-3 sponsorship before. Filtering by state and industry on Migrate Mate narrows results to roles where the specialty occupation requirement is likely to be met.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in animal care?
Pennsylvania requires veterinarians to hold a state license issued by the State Board of Veterinary Medicine before practicing, and E-3 sponsoring employers will typically require proof of licensure or eligibility prior to filing the Labor Condition Application. Australian veterinary degrees are generally assessed for U.S. equivalency, and some applicants pursue ECFVG or PAVE certification as part of that process. Employers in Philadelphia's dense specialty clinic market are generally more familiar with international credentialing than smaller regional practices.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 animal care & pet services jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
