About Treeswift:
In the face of rising threats, increasing pressure on affordability, and unprecedented demand for power, Treeswift empowers energy companies to modernize their field work to meet the growth and challenges ahead.
We build physical AI for the field worker: whether on foot or in a vehicle, our technology is an ironman suit for engineers, linemen, and vegetation crews: same worker, same boots on the ground, now operating at 10x productivity. Our platform is powered by cutting edge hardware, sensors (LiDAR, camera, etc…), AI and software designed to revolutionize work in the toughest environments.
Since our first pilot with a utility in June 2024, we've grown fast, now working with three of the five largest utilities in the US. To date, our technology has enabled our customers to reduce wildfire risk, regulatory and outage risk from vegetation, avoid delays and cost overruns in new construction, and accelerate recovery from severe storms.
To tackle this challenge, we are bringing together a team of mission-driven experts with deep industry experience in robotics (Penn, Caltech, CMU) and enterprise software development (Palantir, Stripe, Oracle, MongoDB). We have raised funding from leading investors including Penny Pritzker’s Inspired Capital.
We are headquartered in midtown Manhattan, with additional offices in San Francisco and Philadelphia.
Our growth is only accelerating. We’re looking for deeply curious and highly ambitious people who want to have a real world impact. Come build the future of (field) work with us.
About the role
As a senior robotics engineer you will drive outcomes across perception, mapping, sensor fusion and calibration that directly contribute to the expansion of our business. As our business grows these needs will change; first priorities for this role will include:
- Improving the quality and consistency of our product in an increasing breadth of operating conditions. For example, you will lead SLAM development including incorporating new sensor evolutions and exploring innovative approaches to improving performance in GPS degraded environments.
- Accelerating our time to delivery by leveling up our sensor fusion and calibration. This includes fusing multi-user, multi-session point cloud maps and automating alignment of LiDAR and imagery data to produce consistent large-scale scenes.
- Power scalability and reliability by eliminating the need for extrinsic measurements on our vehicle sensors in the field and improving our ability to catch and correct potential data quality issues at their source.
Experience / Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in perception for robotics
- Comfortable in a fast-pace and high-ownership environment. You’re excited to collaborate, but also comfortable developing your own opinions.
- Proficient in C++ and Python
- Extensive experience developing SLAM solutions, ideally involving ground-based LiDAR
- Experience with extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including automated data-driven calibration
- Prior experience with ultra-wide angle cameras is a nice-to-have
What We Value
- Mission first. We value team members who are focused on working towards the best outcomes for the customer and the business.
- Curiosity. We are constantly learning – from each other and from our customers. We aren’t afraid to learn we were wrong in the process and adapt our approach accordingly.
- Owners mindset. If you see an opportunity for improvement, run with it. We believe that good ideas can come from anywhere, no matter your role.
Benefits
- Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance
- Life insurance package and disability coverage
- Stock options
- Paid leave for new parents
- Unlimited PTO
- 401K
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is 160-210 USD. Total compensation for this position is determined by skills, qualifications, relevant work experience, location, and other factors. This salary estimate excludes the value of any potential bonuses; the value of any benefits offered; and the potential future value of any long-term incentives.

Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Pennsylvania
Target Philadelphia's financial district employers
Philadelphia is home to major banks, insurance firms, and asset managers that regularly hire for roles requiring specialized degrees. These employers have established sponsorship infrastructure, making them more likely to support E-3 applications without extensive internal approval processes.
Look beyond Pittsburgh's legacy industries
Pittsburgh has evolved well past steel into robotics, software, and life sciences. Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh spin-offs create consistent demand for specialty occupation roles, and many of these employers are experienced with work visa sponsorship for international talent.
Search by industry before searching by location
Pennsylvania's E-3 sponsorship is concentrated in specific sectors. Filtering by industry first, then narrowing to Pennsylvania, surfaces more relevant results. Migrate Mate lets you search E-3 sponsorship jobs by both field and state to speed this up.
Check hospital systems and academic medical centers
Penn Medicine, Jefferson Health, and UPMC all operate large clinical and research operations that hire internationally. Healthcare administration, research coordination, and clinical informatics roles frequently qualify as specialty occupations under E-3 requirements.
Engage Pennsylvania-based staffing firms with visa experience
Several Philadelphia and Pittsburgh staffing agencies specialize in placing international professionals in finance, engineering, and IT. These firms often have direct relationships with employers open to sponsorship and can advocate on your behalf during the hiring process.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active E-3 sponsors in Pennsylvania
Not every Pennsylvania employer is set up to sponsor visas. Migrate Mate filters for employers currently offering E-3 sponsorship, which saves time and helps you focus applications on companies already familiar with the process rather than educating employers from scratch.

Which industries in Pennsylvania sponsor the most E-3 visas?
Finance, healthcare, and technology account for the largest share of E-3 sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia's concentration of banks, insurance companies, and consulting firms drives significant demand, while Pittsburgh contributes through its software, engineering, and life sciences sectors. Professional services and higher education are also consistent sponsors across the state.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia is Pennsylvania's primary hub for E-3 sponsorship, with a dense concentration of corporate headquarters, financial institutions, and healthcare systems. Pittsburgh is the second-largest market, particularly strong in technology, robotics, and research roles tied to its universities. Smaller markets like Harrisburg and Allentown offer occasional opportunities in government contracting and manufacturing.
What types of roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In Pennsylvania, qualifying roles commonly include software engineers, financial analysts, management consultants, civil and mechanical engineers, clinical researchers, and healthcare administrators. The degree must be directly relevant to the position being offered.
How do I find E-3 sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
The most effective approach is to search specifically for employers already willing to sponsor the E-3 visa rather than applying broadly and raising sponsorship later. Migrate Mate lists E-3 sponsorship jobs by state, so you can filter directly for Pennsylvania roles and focus on employers who have confirmed they support the E-3 process, saving significant time in your search.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
