Which animal care & pet services companies sponsor E-3 visas in Colorado?
Veterinary hospital groups with multi-location operations across Colorado, including specialty and emergency animal hospitals in the Denver metro, are among the more consistent E-3 sponsors in this industry. Corporate-owned veterinary chains that operate nationally tend to have established immigration processes. Smaller independent clinics do sponsor but less frequently, as the administrative process requires dedicated HR or legal support.
Which cities in Colorado have the most animal care & pet services E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its immediate suburbs, including Aurora, Englewood, and Lakewood, concentrate the highest number of animal care and pet services employers in Colorado, with specialty veterinary hospitals and large boarding and daycare facilities most common there. Fort Collins and Boulder also have active animal care sectors, partly due to Colorado State University's veterinary college creating a skilled-workforce pipeline and attracting affiliated employers to those cities.
What types of animal care & pet services roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship in animal care requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Veterinary technologists with a four-year degree, animal behaviorists, and veterinary practice managers with relevant qualifications are common qualifying examples in Colorado. General animal attendant or kennel assistant roles generally do not meet the specialty occupation threshold under USCIS standards.
How do I find animal care & pet services E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for E-3 job seekers and filters Colorado animal care and pet services roles by employers with verified E-3 sponsorship history, using DOL Labor Condition Application data. This saves significant time compared to manually contacting employers. Searching Migrate Mate by industry and state lets you identify which Colorado animal care employers have actively sponsored E-3 workers, rather than cold-applying to companies with no sponsorship track record.
Are there state-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in Colorado's animal care industry?
Colorado requires veterinary technicians to hold state licensure from the Colorado State Board of Veterinary Medicine, and employers will typically expect this credential to be in progress or obtained before the start date. Australian applicants holding an AVA-accredited veterinary technology qualification should verify equivalency with Colorado's licensing body early in the process. The E-3 visa itself is federal, but meeting Colorado's professional licensing requirements independently strengthens a sponsorship case.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 animal care & pet services jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
