Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Colorado
Focus on the Front Range tech corridor
Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs concentrate the majority of Colorado's E-3-eligible employers. Targeting companies headquartered or with major offices in these cities gives you access to the highest density of specialty occupation roles in the state.
Research aerospace and defense employers directly
Colorado is home to major aerospace operations including Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Engineering and systems analysis roles at these employers frequently qualify as specialty occupations, and many have established immigration sponsorship processes worth approaching directly.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified E-3 roles
Browse E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate to surface roles from employers who have sponsored the visa before, saving time you'd otherwise spend researching each company's immigration history from scratch.
Target Colorado's clean energy and climate tech sector
The state's strong renewable energy industry employs environmental engineers, data analysts, and project managers in roles that commonly qualify for E-3 sponsorship. Boulder and Fort Collins are particularly active hubs for this sector.
Check university and research institution postings
Institutions like the University of Colorado and Colorado State University regularly sponsor specialty occupation roles in research, data science, and engineering. These employers tend to have in-house immigration infrastructure and familiarity with the E-3 process.
Approach mid-size companies, not just large corporates
Colorado has a large base of well-funded Series B and C startups, particularly in Denver and Boulder. Many have sponsored H-1B visa or E-3 workers before but won't appear in broad searches, making direct outreach and targeted platforms more effective than general job boards.

Which industries in Colorado sponsor the most E-3 visas?
Technology, aerospace and defense, clean energy, and biotech account for the largest share of E-3 visa sponsorship activity in Colorado. Software engineering, systems engineering, and data science roles appear most frequently. Boulder's tech and life sciences cluster and Denver's growing financial technology sector also generate consistent demand for E-3-eligible specialty occupation positions.
Which cities in Colorado have the most E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Denver has the broadest concentration of E-3 sponsorship employers across technology, finance, and professional services. Boulder follows closely, driven by software, biotech, and climate technology companies. Colorado Springs has a strong aerospace and defense presence. Fort Collins contributes through its university research sector and engineering firms.
What types of roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Colorado?
Roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field qualify as specialty occupations under the E-3. In Colorado, this commonly includes software engineers, data scientists, aerospace engineers, environmental engineers, financial analysts, and research scientists. Roles where any generalist degree satisfies the requirement, regardless of field, are less likely to qualify.
How do I find E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate lists E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado filtered by employers with a history of sponsoring the visa, which removes much of the guesswork. Beyond that, reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data at flag.dol.gov lets you identify which Colorado employers have filed E-3 LCAs in the past, giving you a targeted list of companies worth approaching directly.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
