Which accounting companies sponsor E-3 visas in Colorado?
The Big Four firms, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and PwC, have established Denver offices and have historically filed E-3 visa applications for accounting professionals. Regional firms such as Plante Moran and Eide Bailly also operate in Colorado and have sponsored foreign nationals in accounting roles. Corporate accounting departments at Colorado-based energy, technology, and healthcare companies are additional sources of E-3 sponsorship.
Which cities in Colorado have the most accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Denver accounts for the majority of accounting E-3 opportunities in Colorado, driven by its concentration of professional services firms, corporate headquarters, and financial institutions. Boulder attracts accounting roles tied to its technology and startup sectors. Colorado Springs has a smaller but active market, particularly in defense contractor finance and regional public accounting firms serving the military and government contracting industries present there.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a closely related field generally qualify as specialty occupations for E-3 purposes. These include external and internal audit positions, tax associate and senior tax roles, financial reporting analyst positions, and management accounting roles. General bookkeeping or accounts payable clerk positions that do not require a specific degree are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado by visa type, letting you see which employers are actively open to E-3 candidates. Searching on Migrate Mate saves time compared to manually screening general job postings, since the platform is focused on roles where visa sponsorship is already part of the hiring conversation for professionals like you.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for accounting E-3 sponsorship?
Colorado does not impose additional state-level requirements on top of the federal E-3 process, but employers must still file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the specific accounting role and location. Denver's prevailing wages for accounting positions are determined separately from smaller Colorado markets, so the LCA wage requirement will differ depending on which city your role is based in.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 accounting jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
