Which investment management companies sponsor E-3 visas in Colorado?
Charles Schwab operates a major Denver campus and has a documented history of sponsoring skilled foreign nationals. Fidelity Investments, Vanguard, and TIAA maintain Colorado offices that hire for specialized investment roles. Beyond these large firms, Denver's growing independent RIA sector and private equity firms like Antero Capital have also sponsored E-3 workers, though sponsorship willingness varies by firm size, role, and hiring cycle.
Which cities in Colorado have the most investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Denver is the clear center of investment management hiring in Colorado, home to the Colorado State Capitol area's financial district and major employer campuses in the Denver Tech Center. Boulder has a smaller but active market, particularly for fintech-adjacent asset management roles. Colorado Springs has a more limited investment management presence, making Denver the primary target city for E-3 job seekers in this industry.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In investment management, roles that commonly meet this standard include portfolio analyst, quantitative analyst, fixed income analyst, compliance analyst, and financial risk manager. General sales or client services positions may not qualify if they don't have a defined degree requirement tied directly to the role.
How do I find investment management E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for this search, with filters for visa type, industry, and state, so you can browse investment management roles in Colorado that have E-3 sponsorship history. Beyond filtering by location, Migrate Mate's job board surfaces employers who have previously filed E-3 or H-1B petitions for similar roles, which is a practical signal of sponsorship willingness in the investment management sector.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in investment management?
Colorado does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond standard federal E-3 rules, but the state's financial licensing environment is worth noting. Some investment management roles require FINRA licenses (Series 65, Series 7) that must be obtained after hire, and employers in Colorado generally factor this licensing timeline into their onboarding plans for sponsored workers. Roles requiring licensure before starting can complicate the E-3 process, so confirming licensing expectations upfront with a prospective employer is important.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 investment management jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
