Which companies sponsor visas for sales development managers in South Carolina?
Blackbaud, headquartered in Charleston, and Benefitfocus, also based in Charleston, are among the most active tech employers in South Carolina with documented H-1B sponsorship histories. Greenville-area companies in healthcare technology and advanced manufacturing software have also sponsored sales development roles. Sponsorship availability changes with hiring cycles, so reviewing current job postings directly is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types are most common for sales development manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for sales development managers in South Carolina, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. Australian citizens may also pursue the E-3 visa. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles fall within qualifying USMCA occupational categories.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most sales development manager sponsorship jobs?
Charleston leads South Carolina for sales development manager sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of software and benefits technology companies. Columbia, home to the University of South Carolina and a growing startup ecosystem, generates a secondary pipeline of roles. Greenville has expanded its technology employer base alongside its manufacturing sector, making it a third meaningful market for sponsored sales development positions.
How to find sales development manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters sales development manager roles in South Carolina by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening hundreds of postings. The platform surfaces employers with active H-1B and E-3 sponsorship histories in the state. Creating an account and setting location and role filters to South Carolina sales development manager positions is the most direct way to surface relevant opportunities.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for sales development managers in South Carolina?
South Carolina does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying they will pay the prevailing wage for the specific geographic area, which differs between Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville. The state's relatively lower cost of business has attracted technology companies relocating from higher-cost markets, which has modestly expanded the pool of sponsors over recent years.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales development manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
