Which companies sponsor visas for corporate development managers in Tennessee?
HCA Healthcare and Community Health Systems in Nashville are among the most active sponsors, given their scale and ongoing M&A activity. FedEx and International Paper in Memphis also have corporate development functions that have sponsored international talent. Knoxville's energy sector, anchored by Tennessee Valley Authority and related contractors, adds further sponsorship opportunities for candidates with strategic transactions experience.
Which visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for corporate development managers in Tennessee, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Candidates with prior U.S. work authorization may also transfer status through an employer-filed petition. The L-1A is relevant for managers transferring intracompany within a multinational's Tennessee office.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville is the clear center of gravity, driven by its concentration of large healthcare systems, private equity-backed companies, and regional headquarters that regularly execute acquisitions. Memphis follows, with corporate development activity tied to logistics, financial services, and manufacturing. Knoxville is smaller but relevant for energy and technology-adjacent corporate development roles, particularly for candidates with backgrounds in regulated industries.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that include visa sponsorship, so you can search corporate development manager positions in Tennessee without sorting through employers who won't support international candidates. Given that sponsorship for this role depends heavily on employer size and M&A pipeline, Migrate Mate's curated listings help you focus on companies with an actual track record of sponsoring strategic and finance professionals.
Are there any state-specific considerations for corporate development manager roles in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage benchmarking since compensation structures sometimes weight equity or bonuses differently than in higher-tax states. Corporate development roles in Tennessee's healthcare sector often require familiarity with highly regulated deal environments, including certificate-of-need laws, which can be a differentiating factor for internationally trained candidates with healthcare M&A experience. Nashville's growth has also increased competition for sponsorship-eligible roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
