Which technology companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Tennessee?
Tennessee technology employers with H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history include Asurion, HCA Healthcare's IT division, Oracle, Vanderbilt University Medical Center's technology teams, and several mid-sized software firms in the Nashville corridor. Consulting firms with Tennessee offices, such as Deloitte and Accenture, also sponsor H-1B1 Singapore workers for technology engagements. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer, so reviewing DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data helps identify active sponsors.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads Tennessee for technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of healthcare IT, fintech, and enterprise software companies. Memphis offers opportunities in logistics technology and supply chain software, supported by the city's distribution industry. Knoxville has a smaller but active tech sector connected to Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee, attracting roles in research computing and data engineering.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Tennessee's technology sector, qualifying roles commonly include software engineers, data scientists, cybersecurity analysts, cloud architects, systems analysts, and DevOps engineers. Roles where a specific technical degree is a standard requirement, rather than a preference, have the strongest qualification basis. O*NET occupation profiles can help verify whether a role meets specialty occupation standards.
How do I find technology H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters technology jobs specifically by visa type, so you can search for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship roles across Tennessee without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces employers with verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history for H-1B1 Singapore workers, narrowed by state and industry. This removes the guesswork of identifying which Tennessee technology companies have actually filed for this visa category.
Are there any Tennessee-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in technology?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation planning for Singaporean professionals comparing offers across states. The state's technology sector is heavily tied to healthcare IT, given Nashville's position as a national healthcare industry hub, so Singaporean professionals with experience in health informatics or clinical data systems may find stronger employer alignment. H-1B1 Singapore applications still require Tennessee employers to file a certified LCA with DOL before sponsorship can proceed, regardless of company size.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore technology jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
