Which companies sponsor visas for corporate development managers in Texas?
Large multinationals with Texas headquarters or significant operations are the most consistent sponsors for corporate development manager roles. ExxonMobil and Chevron in Houston, Dell Technologies and Apple in Austin, and AT&T and Goldman Sachs in Dallas have all filed H-1B petitions for business strategy and corporate development positions. Mid-size private equity-backed companies also sponsor, though less predictably than established public corporations.
Which visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for corporate development managers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with multinational company experience may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Those with extraordinary achievement in M&A or strategy may explore the O-1 visa, though the evidentiary bar is high.
Which cities in Texas have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Houston and Dallas generate the highest volume of corporate development manager sponsorship opportunities in Texas. Houston's concentration of energy majors and healthcare systems drives demand for M&A and strategy talent. Dallas has a dense base of financial services firms, telecom companies, and corporate headquarters. Austin is a growing market, particularly within technology companies expanding their strategy and partnerships functions.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it easier to identify corporate development manager openings in Texas where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general postings, you can focus on roles matched to your visa situation. Migrate Mate covers positions across Houston, Dallas, and Austin, spanning energy, technology, and financial services employers with sponsorship track records.
What should corporate development managers know about visa sponsorship in Texas specifically?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage calculations used in H-1B Labor Condition Applications, since the Department of Labor benchmarks wages to local market rates. Houston and Dallas are classified as separate prevailing wage localities, so the certified wage on your LCA will reflect the specific metro area where the role is based. Corporate development roles often involve multiple office locations, which may require additional LCA filings if work is performed across different Texas metros.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
