Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for corporate development managers?
Florida-based companies with established international hiring patterns for corporate development roles include Roper Technologies in Sarasota, Raymond James Financial in St. Petersburg, Darden Restaurants in Orlando, and several private equity-backed firms headquartered in Miami. Large healthcare systems such as HCA Healthcare's Florida division and technology-focused companies in the Tampa Bay corridor have also filed sponsorship petitions for senior strategy and M&A positions.
What visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for corporate development managers in Florida, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with prior U.S. employer relationships sometimes transfer under the L-1A for intracompany managerial roles. Professionals from Australia may qualify for the E-3, and Canadian or Mexican nationals may pursue the TN visa under the economist or management consultant category where the role aligns.
Which Florida cities have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for corporate development manager sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of Latin American-focused private equity firms, international banks, and multinational regional headquarters. Tampa and St. Petersburg follow, anchored by financial services employers and professional services firms. Orlando sees demand from hospitality and healthcare conglomerates, while Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville have smaller but active markets tied to logistics, insurance, and regional banking operations.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers are open to visa sponsorship, making it practical to search for corporate development manager positions across Florida without sifting through listings from companies that don't sponsor. You can narrow results by city, which is useful given how differently Miami, Tampa, and Orlando markets behave for M&A and strategy roles. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also ensures you see new postings in this competitive category as they appear.
Are there state-specific considerations for corporate development manager roles in Florida when seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons employers use when filing Labor Condition Applications for H-1B sponsorship. The state's strong private equity presence in Miami, particularly firms focused on Latin American and Caribbean markets, means bilingual candidates with regional deal experience are particularly sought after. Florida's large university system, including the University of Florida and University of Miami, also produces domestic candidates, so international applicants should emphasize specialized deal experience or sector expertise to stand out.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
