Search Sales Development Manager Jobs in TexasSales Development Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for sales development managers in Texas?
Several large technology and enterprise software employers in Texas have established track records of sponsoring work visas for sales development managers. Dell Technologies in Round Rock, Oracle and Salesforce in Austin, and IBM in Dallas are among the most active. Beyond those household names, Austin's SaaS startup ecosystem and Houston's energy-tech corridor also generate consistent sponsorship activity for sales leadership roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most sales development manager sponsorship jobs?
Austin leads by a significant margin, anchored by a dense concentration of technology and SaaS companies that rely heavily on structured sales development teams. Dallas-Fort Worth follows closely, with strong representation from enterprise software, fintech, and telecommunications firms. Houston contributes sponsorship opportunities primarily through energy technology, healthcare IT, and logistics software companies that maintain large inside sales organizations.
Which visa types are most common for sales development manager roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for sales development managers in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, which operates outside the H-1B lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals in this role may be eligible under the TN visa category under the USMCA agreement.
How to find sales development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by role and state to surface sales development manager positions in Texas where employers have indicated openness to visa sponsorship. Because sponsorship willingness is often not stated clearly on general job boards, using a platform like Migrate Mate that filters for it directly saves significant time and reduces the risk of applying to roles that won't support an international hire.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for sales development manager sponsorship candidates?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks relative to prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program. The strong presence of UT Austin and Texas A&M also means employers in Austin, Dallas, and Houston are accustomed to recruiting internationally educated candidates. However, sales roles in Texas often carry quota-based commission structures, and candidates should confirm how variable pay interacts with the prevailing wage obligation their sponsor must meet.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales development manager jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
