Which companies sponsor visas for solutions consultants in Texas?
Several large technology and enterprise software companies with significant Texas operations have sponsored solutions consultants for work visas. These include Dell Technologies (Round Rock), Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, Cisco, and IBM, all of which have filed Labor Condition Applications for solutions consultant and related presales roles in Texas. Consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture, which maintain large Texas offices, have also sponsored this role category.
Which visa types are most common for solutions consultant roles in Texas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solutions consultants in Texas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in a technical or business field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Some candidates from Australia qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is generally faster to obtain. Canadians and Mexicans may qualify under the TN visa category, provided the role aligns with TN-eligible occupations.
Which cities in Texas have the most solutions consultant sponsorship jobs?
Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth account for the largest share of solutions consultant sponsorship activity in Texas. Austin's tech sector, anchored by companies like Dell, Apple, and numerous SaaS firms, drives consistent demand. Dallas-Fort Worth adds financial services, telecom, and enterprise software employers including AT&T and Tyler Technologies. Houston sees demand tied to energy technology and healthcare IT, while San Antonio has growing cybersecurity and cloud employers.
How to find solutions consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., including solutions consultant roles in Texas. You can filter directly by state and role to see employers actively hiring and sponsoring in this field. This is more efficient than general job boards because every listing is screened for sponsorship relevance, saving you time when targeting Texas-based solutions consultant positions.
Are there any Texas-specific factors that affect solutions consultant sponsorship hiring?
Texas has no state income tax, which can make total compensation packages more competitive relative to states like California or New York, influencing where candidates and employers choose to locate. The H-1B prevailing wage requirement applies regardless of state, but Texas metro areas like Austin and Dallas typically carry Level II and Level III wage designations for solutions consultant roles, reflecting the technical and client-facing nature of the position. University pipelines from UT Austin and Texas A&M also feed local employer sponsorship pipelines.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions consultant jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
