Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for operations directors?
Technology and enterprise software companies are among the most active visa sponsors for operations directors in Utah. Qualtrics, Domo, and Adobe have sponsored senior operations roles in the Salt Lake City area. Large logistics and distribution employers, including Amazon fulfillment and regional operations centers, also file sponsorship petitions for director-level positions. Healthcare systems like Intermountain Health occasionally sponsor for operational leadership roles as well.
Which visa types are most common for operations director roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for operations directors in Utah, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business administration, supply chain management, or engineering. The L-1A intracompany transferee visa is another pathway, available to candidates transferring into a managerial or executive role from an affiliated overseas office of a Utah-based employer.
How to find operations director visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify operations director openings in Utah without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can search by state and job title to surface active listings from employers who have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates for senior operations positions across Salt Lake City, Provo, and Ogden.
Which cities in Utah have the most operations director sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of operations director sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of technology companies, corporate headquarters, and regional logistics hubs. Provo and the broader Utah Valley corridor have expanded significantly due to the tech cluster sometimes referred to as Silicon Slopes. Ogden sees demand from manufacturing and distribution operations, while St. George is a smaller but growing market for operations leadership roles.
Are there any state-specific considerations for operations directors pursuing visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined by the Department of Labor based on the Salt Lake City or relevant metropolitan statistical area, and employers must certify the offered compensation meets those thresholds. Utah's strong university pipeline from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University means employers are accustomed to hiring for technical and operational roles, which can support a familiarity with structured hiring processes that include visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored operations director jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
