Which companies sponsor visas for strategy roles in Utah?
Several large employers in Utah have established H-1B sponsorship records for strategy positions. Technology companies like Adobe and Qualtrics, financial services firms including Goldman Sachs's Salt Lake City operations, and healthcare organizations like Intermountain Health have all filed Labor Condition Applications for business strategy and corporate development roles. Management consulting firms with Utah offices also sponsor internationally for senior strategy positions.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy professionals in Utah, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, finance, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Candidates with advanced degrees may also see employers pursue O-1A petitions for those with extraordinary ability, while Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying strategy roles can explore the TN visa under the USMCA.
Which cities in Utah have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and the broader Wasatch Front corridor, including Provo and Lehi, concentrate the majority of strategy sponsorship opportunities in Utah. The Silicon Slopes tech hub in Lehi and South Jordan hosts numerous corporate headquarters and regional offices where business strategy and growth roles are common. Salt Lake City's downtown financial and professional services district also generates consistent demand for strategy professionals.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Utah employers actively hiring strategy professionals who require work authorization. Rather than sorting through unfiltered postings, you can browse strategy roles across corporate development, strategic planning, and business operations that are already confirmed as open to sponsorship, with filters for location and role type specific to Utah.
Are there any state-specific considerations for strategy visa sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's strong university pipeline through the University of Utah and Brigham Young University produces business graduates who compete for the same strategy roles, so international candidates typically need differentiated experience or specialized expertise. The state's growing tech and fintech sector means many strategy roles are tied to high-growth companies that have established H-1B sponsorship programs, though smaller startups in Silicon Slopes may have less experience navigating the sponsorship process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
