Which companies sponsor visas for strategy directors in Utah?
Utah-based sponsors for senior strategy roles include Adobe, which has a major presence in Lehi, along with Goldman Sachs and Recursion Pharmaceuticals in Salt Lake City. Technology firms concentrated along Silicon Slopes, including Qualtrics and Domo, have historically filed for H-1B and L-1 visas for senior strategic positions. Sponsorship availability varies by company size, hiring cycle, and the specifics of the role.
Which visa types are most common for strategy director roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy directors in Utah, given the role's typical requirement for a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field. L-1A visas are also used when candidates transfer from an overseas office of the same employer in a managerial or executive capacity. O-1 visas apply in cases where the candidate has demonstrated extraordinary achievement in their field.
Which cities in Utah have the most strategy director sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of strategy director sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by its concentration of finance, healthcare, and technology employers. Lehi and Provo, situated along the Silicon Slopes tech corridor, are a strong secondary market, particularly for strategy roles within SaaS and software companies. Smaller markets like Ogden see occasional openings tied to manufacturing and logistics firms.
How to find strategy director visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify strategy director roles in Utah where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sorting through general job postings manually, you can search by role and state to surface relevant openings at Utah-based companies, particularly those in the Silicon Slopes tech corridor and the Salt Lake City business district.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy director sponsorship in Utah?
Utah's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B filings reflect the state's competitive tech-driven labor market, meaning employers in the Salt Lake City metro must meet Department of Labor wage determinations for director-level positions. The University of Utah and Brigham Young University supply a steady pipeline of domestic talent, which means international candidates are most competitive when bringing specialized industry expertise or a transferable client network that local graduates cannot easily replicate.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy director jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
