Which companies sponsor visas for enterprise account executives in Washington DC?
Technology companies with significant federal and public sector divisions are the most active sponsors in DC. Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, and AWS all have enterprise sales teams in the region and appear regularly in H-1B LCA disclosure data for account executive roles. Smaller GovTech firms and cybersecurity companies, such as Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike, also sponsor enterprise sales talent in this market.
Which visa types are most common for enterprise account executive roles in Washington DC?
H-1B is the most common visa category for enterprise account executives in DC. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation when the employer demonstrates that a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business or marketing, is a standard requirement. Australian nationals may also qualify under the E-3 visa. TN visa status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose qualifications align with eligible USMCA occupational categories.
How to find enterprise account executive visa sponsorship jobs in Washington DC?
Migrate Mate filters enterprise account executive roles specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, so you're not sorting through listings that won't support international candidates. For DC, prioritize searching for roles tied to federal, public sector, or government technology accounts, as those teams are concentrated in this market and tend to have established international hiring processes through larger enterprise technology companies.
Which areas in Washington DC have the most enterprise account executive sponsorship jobs?
Most enterprise account executive hiring in the DC region clusters around downtown Washington DC itself, where federal agencies and government contractors are headquartered. The surrounding Northern Virginia corridor, including Arlington and Tysons Corner, also concentrates significant tech sales activity given the density of defense contractors and cloud service providers operating there. Many employers list roles as DC-based but serve the full National Capital Region.
Are there any DC-specific considerations for enterprise account executives seeking visa sponsorship?
Enterprise account executive roles in DC frequently require engagement with federal government clients, which can affect hiring. Some positions require security clearances or U.S. citizenship, making those roles inaccessible to visa-sponsored candidates. Focus on roles explicitly targeting commercial accounts or state and local government, rather than federal civilian or defense accounts, where citizenship requirements are less common. Verifying clearance requirements before applying saves significant time in this market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored enterprise account executive jobs in Washington DC?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
