Which companies sponsor visas for data managers in Washington?
Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, Tableau (a Salesforce company), Expedia Group, and Providence Health are among the Washington employers with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for data-related roles. Large tech and healthcare organizations in the Seattle metro tend to have established immigration programs, which generally makes them more willing and equipped to sponsor data manager positions than smaller firms.
Which visa types are most common for data manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for data manager roles in Washington, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a field like computer science, information systems, or statistics, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with extraordinary ability may qualify for the O-1A. Australians working in this field may also have access to the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is easier to obtain than the H-1B.
Which cities in Washington have the most data manager sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and its surrounding suburbs, including Redmond, Bellevue, and Kirkland, account for the overwhelming majority of data manager sponsorship opportunities in Washington. This concentration reflects the presence of major tech employers headquartered or operating in the region. Spokane sees some activity driven by healthcare systems and regional universities, but the Seattle metro is by far the primary market for sponsored data manager roles.
How to find data manager visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for data manager roles in Washington without wading through positions that won't support work authorization. You can filter by state, role type, and visa category to surface employers actively hiring for sponsored data manager positions across Seattle, Bellevue, and other Washington markets.
Are there any Washington-specific factors that affect data manager visa sponsorship?
Washington's high concentration of large tech employers means many companies already have immigration counsel in place, which generally streamlines the sponsorship process compared to states with fewer established tech firms. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply to all sponsored roles, and Washington's tech-heavy labor market typically places data manager positions at higher wage tiers, which employers must meet when filing a Labor Condition Application for H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
