An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office: Please note that this is a hybrid role based in Seattle, WA and will require you to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Who We Are
At Wayfair, we believe everyone should live in a home they love. To make that a reality, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager for Page Ranking & Orchestration to lead the evolution of our dynamic storefront.
This is a high-impact role where you will define the "brain" behind Wayfair’s digital real estate. You will own the dynamic page construction model, moving beyond static templates to a world where pages are assembled in real-time. You will be the primary driver of the Dynamic Search Results Page (DSRP) experience, ensuring that every search query results in a perfectly balanced mix of products, content modules, and navigational aids tailored to the user’s intent.
What You’ll Do
- Master the Page Ranking Logic: Own the ranking and arbitration logic that determines the optimal sequence of modules (e.g., product grids, "Shop the Look" bundles, video feeds, and SEO content) sitewide.
- Architect Dynamic Page Construction: Define the framework for how our frontend "orchestrator" assembles pages. You will move Wayfair toward a headless, modular architecture where the layout adapts dynamically to the shopper's journey stage.
- Revolutionize the Search Experience: Lead the strategy for Dynamic Search Results Pages. You will balance traditional product conversion with "discovery modules," ensuring our search results are both functional and inspirational.
- Lead Multi-Objective Optimization: Work with Data Science to build reward functions that balance competing goals, such as short-term conversion, long-term brand affinity, and category discovery, within a single page view.
- Scale the Orchestration Platform: Partner with Engineering to build low-latency systems capable of making millisecond-level decisions on which UI components to render for millions of concurrent users.
We Are a Match Because You Have
- 7+ Years in Product Management: Proven track record in high-scale e-commerce or marketplace environments, specifically focusing on ranking systems, feed optimization, or search/discovery.
- Modular Product Mindset: You don't just build features; you build platforms. You have experience managing products where the "output" is a set of rules and models that govern a dynamic UI.
- Deep Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of learning-to-rank (LTR) frameworks, reinforcement learning, and how APIs interact with a dynamic frontend orchestrator.
- The "DSRP" Specialist: You understand that a search page isn't just a list of items: it’s a curated experience. You know how to use query intent to trigger different page layouts (e.g., "Inspirational" vs. "Replenishment" layouts).
- Algorithmic Empathy: You can translate a "cluttered" page into a data problem and a "boring" page into a ranking opportunity, always keeping the user’s cognitive load in mind.
Key Success Indicators
- Module Efficiency: Improved RPV (Revenue Per Visit) and engagement metrics specifically for non-product modules within the page stack.
- Orchestration Accuracy: Reduction in "dead ends" or irrelevant module placements on high-traffic surfaces like Search and the Homepage.
- Layout Diversity: Successful deployment of automated layout variations that significantly outperform the "one-size-fits-all" legacy templates.
- Search Discovery Lift: Increased "add-to-cart" rates from dynamic modules within the search results page.

Which e-commerce companies in Washington sponsor visas most frequently?
Amazon leads Washington's e-commerce visa sponsorship, filing hundreds of H-1B petitions annually for software engineers, product managers, and data scientists. Other active sponsors include Expedia Group, Zillow, and Nordstrom for their digital commerce operations. Smaller growth companies like Rover and Remitly also sponsor visas for specialized technical roles in their e-commerce platforms.
How to find e-commerce visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate specializes in connecting international job seekers with visa-sponsoring e-commerce employers in Washington. Focus on Seattle-area companies with established sponsorship histories and growing technical teams. Target roles in software development, data engineering, product management, and digital marketing where employers demonstrate consistent willingness to sponsor qualified international candidates.
What visa types are most common for e-commerce roles in Washington?
H-1B visas dominate Washington e-commerce sponsorship, particularly for software engineers, data scientists, and product managers. L-1 visas are common for international transfers within global companies like Amazon and Expedia. O-1 visas appear for senior technical architects and executives with extraordinary ability. TN visas work for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technology and business roles.
Which Washington cities offer the most e-commerce visa sponsorship opportunities?
Seattle leads with Amazon, Expedia, and numerous startups concentrated in South Lake Union and Capitol Hill. Bellevue hosts major tech companies expanding their e-commerce operations. Redmond offers opportunities through Microsoft's commerce initiatives. Tacoma and Spokane have emerging e-commerce companies, though sponsorship volumes remain significantly lower than the Seattle metropolitan area.
How does Washington's prevailing wage requirement affect e-commerce sponsorship?
Washington's high cost of living drives elevated prevailing wages for e-commerce roles, particularly in Seattle. Software engineering positions often exceed $120,000 annually, making sponsorship financially viable for employers. The state's lack of income tax can offset higher base salary requirements. Companies must demonstrate wages meet Department of Labor standards specific to King County and surrounding metropolitan areas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored e-commerce jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
